In this paper the discussion is focused on a difference and common point about university students’ perceptions of the elderly people between South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Japan. The image of the elderly is acquired from a questionnaire carried out in four countries on 2016 and 2018. Especially, we verify the influence of a living together experience with grandparents and a caring experience for grandparents on the generation of university students’ perceptions of the elderly.
