Lightness conversion taking account of hue of maximum absorption wavelength of cone cells for dichromats

In this study, a fast lightness conversion method, which improves the visibility of images for dichromats, without significantly changing their impressions in trichromatic vision is proposed. Concretely, the lightness conversion is conducted by determining the weight for each hue appropriately based on the hues of the maximum absorption wavelengths of functioning cones. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by comparing it with other conventional methods.
