Relationship between masticatory function and cognitive impairment had been suggested but still unserstudid. We investigated the associstion between chewing ability and cognitive impariment among the elderly livimg in a rural region. Our findings suugested that poor chewing ability is associated with cognitive impairment or dementio in the elderly living in rural area.
