This work consists of a transparent one-piece dress with floral ornaments and an under dress. The dress is made of silk organdy and the floral ornaments are made of a girl’s kimono that was worn by my female cousin around 1960. The kimono was cut into many small rectangles. Each rectangle was made into a flower. And every flower forms part of the floral ornaments. The other part of the kimono was cut into 4cm wide narrow rectangles to become straps.
The material of under dress is an inner lining of another old kimono that was worn by my aunt around 1940. It shows a woven seigaiha pattern. By the kindly fruits of time, the color of the silk cloth is changing from white to a beautiful yellowish white.
