Interprofessional working (IPW) has been recognized to be inevitable component in health systems. For effective IPW, interprofessional education (IPE) in higher educations is needed for students to achieve IPW competency. However, its contents, education strategies and evaluation tools have not been fully established yet in Japan. In this paper, we focused how IPE should be evaluated in the medical university and proposed newly developed evaluation scale, the Undergraduate Version of the Interprofessional Learning Scale (UIPLS).
