Saturation adjustment of color image while preserving hue in RGB color space

In this study, we propose a saturation adjustment method for a color image while preserving the hue in the RGB color space. The proposed method tries to obtain a desired saturation by incorporating the gamma correction into the saturation maximization method proposed by Inoue et al. Experimental results show that the proposed method can adjust the saturation appropriately by changing the gamma value.
